Successful Test for Team PBR.
PBR had a successful test at the recent Rally of the Manning Valley, a round of the NSW State Championship. Running as car zero driver Paul Batten had the chance to get more experience in the car, and adjust car setup without the pressure of stage times. “It was a really good opportunity for us to get more seat time after missing the Subaru Safari Tasmania. I really learnt a lot adjusting the DMS suspension, and it was amazing the difference a minor adjustment could make” said Paul. “I found a setup I liked, but I kept adjusting to see where it would take me. It is great experience for me, as I haven’t had the chance to do any testing at all this year, so all of my learning has been under pressure in competition. I am now really looking forward to Toyota Rally SA, and I think we can continue to improve.”
It also gave the team a great chance to hone their skills in the car together. From co-driver John Anderson’s perspective. “I only started navigating last year, so doing the ARC this year is a big jump in the deep end for me. Testing was a great opportunity for us to learn to work better as a team without the pressure of results, and I think we made a lot of improvements, and highlighted a few areas that need more work.”
